Justin The Amp Doctor

Frazzell Guitars is proud to introduce Justin “The Amp Doctor” here at Frazzell Guitars. We have been taking amps here and there, but now we will be official for taking in amps and we also have a state-of-the-art amp repair shop dedicated to the store in the back part of the store. We do tubes and everything solid state. He works on amplifiers at the store every Saturday. Justin is currently and for the last 25 years, has been an electronic technician. He has a deep knowledge of amps, circuits, parts, components, and everything possible with amps.

Prices/Estimates

Amp Recap plus cost of part	$75-$100
Amp Cleaning	$45-$60
Retube Amp plus Cost of Tubes includes Biasing	$65
Bias Tubes we will bias your current tubes	$45

Our bench labor rate is $40/hr. Our minimum diagnostic/repair labor fee is $35 per item not including cost of parts

Delivering your equipment to us constitutes your agreement to incur our minimum diagnostic fee of $35.00 If your repair will be more than $35.00 : We will contact you with an estimate. The estimate you approve will be your actual bill +/- 10%. If you decline our estimate, the $35.00 minimum diagnostic fee will be charged.

Please keep in mind that it is not uncommon to find another issue once we are into your equipment in addition to the primary issue. We reserve the right to revise estimates if they might exceed a 10% increase – pending your approval.

A few common examples of estimate increase: “Once power supply was repaired, a secondary issue was revealed”, “Tube sockets cracked or not tension-able”, “noisy or failed tubes after extended bench/play test”. Other components, loudspeaker issues, pots, jacks, connectors cracked, loose or noisy not initially detectable until final testing, etc. For these reasons we do our best to quote realistic estimates particularly with older restorations as “between x and x dollars”
